Back in 1986, Tobe Hooper’s remake of Invaders From Mars was released. This is just another excuse for me to bitch about film critics.

On this day in 1953, It Came From Outer Space was released. It’s a great film in which no one can claim the aliens are an allegory of the commies.

On this day back in 1982, Poltergeist was released. Way too many people applaud this film. It IS very good but Tobe Hooper did so much more great work.

Yesterday was Peter Cushing’s birthday. Today is Vincent Price and Christopher Lee’s. We discuss the films they were in and show House of the Long Shadows.

On this day in 1984, the Italian horror film Rats: Night of Terror came out. Okay, it isn’t great. But it’s so much better than you’d think! A must see!

People think I hate Hitchcock. But I am his protector. And the fact that critics have decided that Vertigo is his best film shows they don’t appreciate him.

Today in 1954, Monster From the Ocean Floor was released. It’s not a great film but the scene with the shark really needs to be seen. How did they do it?

Today is Anthony Zerbe’s 84th birthday. He’s a fine character actor who has been great psychotronic films most notably Omega Man. Also the Matrix sequels.

On this day in 1958, one of my favorites, Attack of the 50 Foot Woman, was released. It is different from similar 50s sci-fi in that it has heart.
